PRINCIPLE The ORAL·SCREEN™ OSR is a self-contained, ready to use, hand-held test interpretation and recording device developed exclusively for use with the ORAL·SCREEN™ 4 Panel Saliva Drug test cassette. The unit incorporates a sensitive optical scanner and computer allowing for a totally automated, standardized and unbiased interpretation of drug screen test results. Oral•SCREEN test results are shown on the LCD display panel within 60 seconds using a one button operation. Test result data can be stored with a number of standard or custom user options including individual identity codes, historical records, and data correlation and comparison. The OSR offers several modes of communication including serial interface for direct connection to a computer and a built in modem for downloading results using a sophisticated state-of-the-art algorithm for secure transmission. Using the supplied serial cable, data can be recalled, printed or exported to a computer. The ORAL·SCREEN™ OSR represents the most advanced technology available for on-site, point of contact drug testing programs and provides the most accurate, standardized and impartial interpretation of drug test results.
Oral
Fluid Assay System For Drugs of Abuse
* Sensitivity detection levels for oral fluid (saliva) are considerably lower than that for urine tests because the concentration of detectable drug metabolites are less in saliva. The sensitivity cut-off levels above generally correlate with the standards established for forensic urine tests by the NIDA and WHO. Expressed in nanograms per milliliter of solution. Additionally, the ORAL-SCREEN drug test will detect the metabolites and chemical derivatives of the class of drugs noted above including all opium derivatives (codeine, heroin, Oxycontin etc.) and Methamphetamine (ecstasy, amphetamine, etc.) With the ORAL·SCREEN™ OSR interpretation of these test results is completely automatic.
PROCEDURE: The ORAL·SCREEN™ OSR System is formulated for use exclusively with the OralScreen Saliva drug test. The completed test cassette is placed face-up in the test carrier tray built into the OSR unit. A one button command then starts the 60 second automated cycle during which the test cassette is visually scanned, results interpreted and then displayed digitally on the LCD panel. Subsequently, results can then be stored with a number of user options.
